For how long/how far does the golf ball camera tracking work?

Let's say, if I build a hellevator, can I use the ball to see what's happening all the way down to the underworld without leaving the surface?

Just made my first golf hole) It's kinda lazy, but I spent some time playing here, my record is 2 strokes) I 'm pretty sure it's impossible in 1.

I have a golf world on CursedForge. https://www.curseforge.com/terraria/maps/my-golf-world It has 18 holes and a nice pylon network. The spawn is in a Nice house with golf gear.

Recommended that you bring a hard mode character for journey mode
