I mined 99% of the blocks in a Small World

Didn't open the Dungeon's Biome Chests, so they're still there


That's it. The rest of the blocks are gone as far as I can tell. I went through and mined every block and every wall tile, starting from the left Ocean and working my way to the right. I left the Lizhard temple for last, which was exhaustively slow to mine because I couldn't use my cool Shroomite Digging Claws for it, and was unsure if I would be able to remove the Golem boss activator without fighting Plantera. Almost the whole time I used the Ghost Axe thing with +3 range, because the absolute worst part of the entire thing was removing walls. That range really helped me stay in one place for a few more seconds while I watched The Sopranos.

Honestly? Always wondered if somebody had mined an entire world before.
Also I'm waiting for 1.3 and this really killed a lot of time. I was tired of making new worlds with new characters and playing through, this was just a project to work on day to day.

Aw man it sucked, don't do it. There are a lot faster ways. I just wanted to mine a world myself. You could totally do it, with those dynamite items that blow up a nice section and you can spam them. There are also apparently some weapons and ammo you can use to destroy blocks quicker than mining.

Mining it myself felt better than blowing it all up or spending money on gadgets and ammo.

I was on the righter side of hell, still hadn't mined out all the obsidian walkways that formed from draining water down through the world as I worked. Dropped in the voodoo doll, the Wall of Flesh came from the right side and his body went up to higher than I could fly.
After I died "tried to escape" death, I respawned at my point and ran into that floating thing you saw in the screenshot. I can go build a house for the guide and fight him again with proper armor and an ice rod to grapple to, letting me fly up and up to see exactly how he looks.

Now do a large world.

Oh gosh. I might, but it wouldn't be straight mining with the digging claws like this one. Wouldn't tear down background walls either. Might just abuse dynamite or the explodey rockets next time.





Shoulda kept some separate chests to track what all I got from the world. I ended up filling some of my normal ore/gem ones and had to go to some others. It combines the ores I got from the world, plus any slit/slush stacks I got to 999 I'd put through the extractinator. That was boring as well so I've got 9 more stacks of 999 Silt to extractinate.

I dug out a lot of stuff in my terraria worlds but not ALL of it. Majorly ravaged (relatively) worlds before just to get stuff to give my friends but probably like 15% of the world at most.

Either make Hellstone bars and sell them, make hellstone brick or make a Hell-themed build above ground.
