I think this change should be made because it is really hard to complete these entries.
1 star enemies would still be 50.
2 star would be 40
3 star would be 10.
4 star would be 5
5 star would be 1.
 
I agree with this like who the Heck would find and kill 50 nymphs for a bestiary entree
 
agree, yes. even if 1 kill adds the entry, so you can "complete" the bestiary, as far as entries and zoologist's rewards concerned, but you won't actually have the description, and other info, and, yeah, (almost) no one's going to ever hunt 50 of the super-rare monsters...

so, yeah, it would make sense to just have rarer enemies require less kills to add all the info to their entries. bosses complete their entries right away too once defeated, so I'm assuming it wouldn't be too hard to do with rare enemies either?
 
How many people in a legit playthrough have actually seen dreadnautilus’ in game description, like ever? Probably close to none.
 
I find it strange that bosses have their entries completed upon defeating them a single time, but many enemies that you are less likely to fight than bosses would require you to spend dozens of hours farming to defeat 50 of them.
