Wow. Just... Wow. The thread now has 1000+ views, more comments than actual chapters, almost 100 likes between the chapters, and 19 "Looks great!" votes.

I have fans. You guys are awesome. Seriously, thanks for reading. I feel eager to hop online in the mornings, just to write you another chapter (One before breakfast, one before bed).

I probably wouldn't have written so much if it weren't for you all. Again, thanks. `:passionate:

Wow. Nice work, i love terraria lore stories! Having written one myself, it's always fun to look at how differently others look at Terraria.

This is definitely interesting and very creative. Keep it up.

This story is awesome! Second person perspective stories are hard to write, and usually fail in my opinion, but you really knocked it out of the park with this one! Great job!

Oh, and also: I'm willing to edit your chapters as they come out. I can fix grammatical and spelling errors no problem. Just send me a PM!

Thanks for the compliment! However, this isn't second person. Second person is told from the perspective of the narrator/character, like first, but AT the reader. So, you and I, like in this message. This story would fall under "Selective third person."

This has been drilled into me. Sorry `

As for editing, thanks for the offer, but I don't put that much forethought into these. I would rather release them as I write, and leave the minor mistakes. The story is still pleasant enough, even with little errors cropping up.

Chapter twenty three: A short reprieve

Harvesting the Twins for the enchanted alloys that they were made out of, the Warrior also collected the empowered Souls, and went inside. Putting it all away in storage, they rested for a bit, and also sorted the items they had hastily put down earlier.

As the Warrior did so, the Moon Lord cursed slightly, bringing the remains of the Twins back into his hall, seeing what he could salvage. Having kept blueprints in case of emergencies, like now, the Moon Lord worked quickly, getting a new pair of Twins up and running in mere moments. Setting them aside, the Moon Lord decided not to send them out again, unless the need arose.

Turning his gaze under the world once more, the Moon Lord pulled out the next swirling clump of energy, and got to work. This one was of the darker variety, very similar to that of the corruption, except with a little light mixed in as well. Taking some of the Rotting Eaters of Souls instead of Demon Eyes, the Moon Lord bound the energy to the souls, and began working on the next Mechanical Horror.

Glancing at the Warrior from time to time, they had apparently gone down to the Underground Corruption once more, and were fighting any to come close, using the Imps and the Seedler. Seeing that they had settled down for a while, the Moon Lord turned back to the beast they were working on, finishing the bonding process, and making some adjustments to the body to better accommodate the power.

This continued on for a few days, with the Warrior eventually switching to the Underground Hallow after a few trips. Once the preparations are complete, The Moon Lord sends out the next of the Mechanical Beasts, and it makes it way slooowly to the village, to attack upon nightfall.

This story is amazing, so far, only problem i noticed with it is the fact that the Warrior already has a Seedler when it only drops from plantera :v
Other than that, it's pretty much perfect

Huh. You should still be able to, it isn't listed in the official patch notes. Plus, there is a weapon connected to each of the other biomes. Might have been accidental.

Secondly, still based off of my playthrough, so it shall remain valid.

Chapter twenty four: Vibrations from deep below...

The Warrior was in the village, nursing their wounds and putting away plunder, as the sun dipped below the horizon. The tremors were barely registrable at that point, but the Warrior seemed to feel them anyway, and picked out a few buffs, heading to the clearing in which they had done their battles. Donning the Frozen Armour once more, they readied their blade, waiting for the creature.

The gigantic Mechanical Worm appeared suddenly, bursting out of the ground right below the Warrior's feet. Rolling to the side, the Warrior began to swing immediately, pressing closer to not only hit with the projectiles, but also slice the Worm with the blade itself. The glowing red eyes lining the beast all turned to the Warrior, and began firing off small lasers at them, but they persevered, and stood their ground.

A glimpse of the name "The Destroyer" could be seen engraved on the Worm's head before it tunneled back underground, it's mighty coils slowly sinking into the Dirt. The Warrior drank a potion to close their wounds and jumped to the side, as the head burst out once more, barely missing the Warrior. one section, taking a large amount of hull damage, ejected one of the Mechanical eyes embedded within the Destroyer, and it floated around, keeping up the laser barrage.

Flinging a few attacks in the Drone's direction, it soon crumpled to the ground, smashed to pieces. This was repeated whenever another Drone detached itself, with most of the Warrior;s attacks being aimed at the Destroyer itself. After a few leaps, a handful of Drones and a healing potion or two, the Destroyer was getting frustrated, and the Warrior only slightly wounded from it all.

Changing tactic, the Destroyer leapt the other way, and after the Warrior dodged as usual, the Worm managed to encircle them, trapping them in it's Mechanical coils. Swinging frantically, the Warrior waited as laser or two was shot, and ran at the coil, trying to clamber over it to escape. The Worm's surface repelled the Warrior, and flung them away... Out of the coil. Covered in more wounds than before, the Warrior stood, and kept on swinging, a bit more cautious of the beast from now on.

Dodging further away whenever the Destroyer leapt out of the earth, the Warrior had downed quite a number of the Drones that had dwelled within the Worm's body, but had also not been able to fully heal up from being trapped by it's coils. Yet, the outcome was still evident, and the Worm was near it's end, most of the body badly damaged, and it's life force barely keeping it together. The Moon Lord got ready to summon the corpse back, pulling over the material for repairs.

And a corpse the Destroyer became, as the Warrior rammed their blade into it's head, ending the beast's attacks, and it collapsed to the ground. Quickly harvesting from the remains, the Warrior went back home, and rested comfortably, having fared better in that fight.

Summoning the Destroyer's remains, the Moon Lord repaired it, and though on how to make the last of the three more of a challenge. It was already a formidable foe, and would require more power to get up and running... The Moon Lord smiled to himself. He had figured out how to make the last fight end this conflict. It would almost be a compliment to the Warrior, pushing the Moon Lord that far, but it would be worth it...

Chapter twenty five: A taste of things to come

The Moon Lord held off the creation of the last of the three, as he would require more power in order to instil it with energy, and time to prepare part of it as well... Instead, the Moon Lord looked to the Jungle, which the Warrior was conveniently heading towards. Apparently, the slaying of a Mechanical beast had released even more magic into the already saturated world, which was causing more powerful monsters to spawn elsewhere... And invigorating Fruit to grow in the Jungle.

Collecting these Fruit, the Warrior grew stronger, which gave the Moon Lord an idea... Sending forth a little power, he tried to collect the will and energy of the jungle into one spot, to form a living creature. Sadly, the attempt failed, not quite collecting enough power at once in order to finish the process. The Moon Lord made a note to try again should the Jungle grow more powerful...

The Warrior returned after consuming only a few fruit, and instead began to build a series of thin ledges out of mud, waving at a Steampunker as they entered the village. Apparently, the tale of a monstrous Mechanical Beast had intrigued them, and once they were told the tale, and saw the Village, their interest was piqued enough for them to stay.

Finishing the series of ledges, and building a rudimentary hut in the middle of it, the Warrior placed a single Glowing Mushroom seed, and set out once more. This time, they went down the mineshaft, falling all the way down to Hell. Once there, they set up a bunker, and worked on fighting the newer, more powerful Demons that appeared, with Redder skin.

Leaving the Warrior to their habitual slaughter, the Moon Lord noticed something odd on the horizon, a large ship... Mood darkened at the though of even more coming to join the Village's ranks, the Moon Lord went back to gathering the materials needed for the final Machine, and building up their power to see it filled with his destructive intent.

Chapter twenty six: Treasure for the taking

Having done a sufficient amount of battle down in Hell, the Warrior was already on their way back when the sounds of chanting could be heard from afar, at the crack of dawn. It was a crude song, filled with obscenities and sung off key, and it revealed that the Moon Lord had been wrong... The ship had brought Pirates, interested not in joining the Village, but instead in ransacking the place, maybe kidnapping one or two of the Villagers, and be off on their merry way.

Not liking that notion one bit, the Warrior sent the Villagers to their huts, and got into the defensive bunker, readying themself for battle. Summoning as many Imps as they could, the Warrior opened the hatches for when they needed to head out personally, but stayed inside, waiting as the chanting grew louder...

The first thing to come in sight was a Parrot, which the Imps promptly swarmed and brought down. Then came the Deckhands, the Deadeyes, the Corsairs and the Crossbowers, in great droves. Yelling their battle cries, usually incomprehensibly, they threw everything they had at the bunker, hoping to get at the Warrior within. The Warrior obliged, jumping out, and raining their attacks down upon the Pirate's faces, felling them all.

Yet more Pirates came, and with them, a Captain. Firing rapidly, the Captain managed to force the Warrior to retreat back into the bunker, letting the Imps take over for a moment. Closing some hatches, the Warrior hopped out the other side, and looted the Captain's fallen comrades instead.

This only served to enraged the Pirate scourge, drawing them in bigger waves, and making them send a request for help back to their ship. Unperturbed, the Warrior dealt the finishing blow to the Captain, and upon seeing another approaching with the next wave, hopped out of the bunker and carved a path through the milling bodies to reach the Clearing of Challenges. The Warrior had indeed named the location, erecting a little sign to warn others not to linger too long, just in case.

Barraging the Pirates with a hail of attacks, the Warrior didn't even notice the encroaching shadow until the first cannonball fell down next to them. Looking up, they saw that the Pirates had summoned their entire ship, named the Flying Dutchman, using some form of magical spell to keep it aloft as it rained down cannonballs and Pirate reinforcements. Keeping the Imps attacking the Pirates below, the Warrior leapt upward and attacked the ship directly, trying to cause damage to the hull and sails.

The tactic seemed to work, and the Flying Dutchman was soon riddled with holes, creaking and cracking with every gust of wind. Fleeing back to the Village, the Warrior hid inside as the Ship came crashing down, serving to provide a lull in the battle. Receiving first aid from the Nurse, the Warrior sent out their Imps again, and focused on collecting the loot dropped by the Pirates, as the battle continued.

The day drew on, more Pirates came, and even two more Flying Dutchmans as the Pirates continued their attack. It would seem they were not very inventive when it came to naming their ships, the Moon Lord noted with a smirk. However, after suffering the loss of a third Ship, the Pirates conceded defeat, and withdrew, spreading the word not to mess with the Village that resided in this land. One Captain stayed behind, drawn to the Warrior out of admiration, and they were allowed to stay.

And with that, the Warrior sat down to sort everything the Pirates left behind, and the Moon Lord went back to his preparations...

Chapter twenty seven: The third's awakening

After sorting all of the Pirate loot, the Warrior started remodeling the Village, adding more chests, improving the layout, things like that. The Moon Lord, on the other hand, was almost ready in gathering power for the next Machine, and turned to that instead. Reaching down to the last of the remaining energies to be harnessed, the Moon Lord drew it out, and examined it.

The last power was both Light and Dark, just as the force that had gone to the sky had been neither. Pulsing with raw power, the Moon Lord drew out the reserve of power that he had been building, and grabbed the soul for the binding... His own.

His curse upon the old man had created a powerful beast, so infusing his very life force into this new one should create something truly Fearsome, filled with the Moon Lord's hate and killing intent. Only pulling out a portion of his life, he infused it with the swirling energies, and amplified them with some of his power. Using the rest to speed up his recovery, the Moon Lord felt a wave of pain, and the strength fade from him for a moment.

Gently placing the resulting ball of pulsing life into the Machine, it began to stir, but was slower in the waking than the others. Pulling it over, the Moon Lord made the necessary adjustments as it turned to him, eyes glowing red as it acknowledged it's creator.

Slightly unnerved from having a part of him move on it's own, and look at him like that, the Moon Lord made the adjustments carefully, and sat back once they were done. The Beast sat next to him, settling down to watch the Warrior as well, waiting for it's full strength to surface, and learning more about it's apponent to come.

The Warrior in question was back underground, finished with the Village, which now had a Truffle walking around in it. The Warrior was fighting in the underground Hallow once more, oblivious to the horrors that awaited them...

Chapter twenty eight: Getting colder...

Soon, it was time. The Last Machine rose, and departed from the Moon Lord's side, heading down to where the Warrior was sorting more of their expansive inventory of items. As the sun fell, the Warrior looked up, and began to buff, swapping out their armour to be better suited for the battle ahead. Heading out to the Clearing, the Machine was already there.

A gigantic Mechanical skull made up the core of the Beast, with recesses for spikes to come out as needed. An inscription of Skeletron Prime was marked on the side of the skull, named such after the beast that arose from the Moon Lord's curse. Four mighty arms surrounded the skull, each with a different weapon. A Cannon, to fire bombs. A Laser, to try and burn the Warrior directly. A Saw, to try and cut them in half. and a Vice, to try and crush them.

These four arms began their attack as soon as Skeletron Prime was in range, lunging and firing at the Warrior. The Warrior dodged as best they could, but some of the attacks still hit them. Returning fire against whichever arm was closest, the Warrior ran back and forth, trying not to provide an easy target for the monstrosity.

These attacks were not using Prime's full strength, however, and it suddenly lashed out, with the arms attacking more ferociously, and the aforementioned spikes popping out as the skull itself was flung at the Warrior. They responded by running as fast as they could, mounting up upon a Unicorn that they had tamed, trying to bring down an arm or two in the process.

Calming down part way through the barrage, Skeleton Prime retracted it's spikes, and resumed the slower pattern of attacks. The arms had taken a fair bit of damage, but were still clawing and firing away. The Warrior on the other hand, was a lot more worse for wear, trying to recover the best they could with the potions, but still badly maimed.

As more blows were exchanged, the Prime Saw was reaching it's limit. Seeing this, the skull popped out spikes again, and launched another flurry of attacks at the Warrior. Focusing their attacks on the damaged Saw, they continued running away from the swipes and shots, but were still clipped now and then. Mid way through the barrage the Saw was broken completely, shattering into a pile of Mechanical rubble. Leaving the now useless arm behind, Prime continued the assualt for a bit more, before pulling back.

Panting as their wounds refused to close, the Warrior stumbled as they drank another potion, following after warily. Seeing that the Cannon was not faring too well, they turned their attacks to that arm next, relying on the Unicorn to guide their way. Prime fired off some more attacks, and took a swipe as well with the Vice.

The Vice was dodged, but the explosion from the Cannon was not, even as the cannon itself was shattered into pieces. Badly wounded, the Warrior was knocked back, barely clinging on to both the Unicorn, and to their life. Prime reacted to the weakened Warrior, and to their missing limb, with an ear shattering roar, popping out the spikes once more.

The Moon Lord watched closely, feeling hope. Surely, the Warrior could not get out of this. They were wounded too badly, too soon. Prime seemed to think so too, and possibly the Warrior themself, as the Warrior fled, still returning attacks as best they could. However, the Laser was still running, and firing away, and the Warrior could not run fast enough.

A miss timed leap brought the Warrior right into the path of a burning laser, and it went straight through the middle of their chest. The Unicorn disappeared, and the Warrior's body erupted in a flash, leaving nothing but ash and a pile of coins. Frozen upon his throne, the Moon Lord was unsure if this was true, or some new illusion that the Warrior was using against him. Prime collected it's fallen limbs, and returned to the Lunar Hall, where the Moon Lord sat back, silent.

Crafting a Grave Stone out of the surrounding rubble, the Moon Lord placed it in the clearing, to commemorate the Warrior's efforts. Peace had fallen to the world once more, and the Moon Lord closed his eyes, and rested...
