  • What's an advice you would give to someone who wants to be good at drawing?

One other thing why I start with the head/face: I've been taught that when others see my drawing, they'll likely focus on the face first. So the face is often the first thing I want to get right.

If you want to draw something with a focus on the environment, while also featuring a character, you could let them show the back of the head instead. As if they're watching what you see.

I’d very much like to draw but I have unfortunately inherited my mother’s OCD, and I treat my sketchbooks like the holy grail, objects that are unfit to be ruined by these dirty, untrained hands. But when it comes to drawing on random pieces of paper, I tend to not want to let it go, as I get attached to the drawing.
    It is not fun.

Oh, cool, so I'm not the only one who worries about crossed-out scetches in an sketchbook.
I've a large A4 notebook that made it easy to rip off the pages from the book. It has lines so it's more for writing than drawing, but I think it helped me out to get rid of the bad sketches, while keeping the good ones there too. I think it helps building up your self-esteem.
So, I got my own webpage now:
It is kind of confusing that links on this forums now converts to names now. You can't make up where you'll be directed to.

I keep thinking your avatar is a Magma Worm from Risk of Rain when it's small...
It really bugs me when there are suggestions about minor challenges along with the option to turn it off for those who don't like it.

I don't want to be offensive to the suggestions itself. As they can be good ideas if done properly. But it's not a good design to turn off any minor thing by your interests. That's too broad just for the desired difficulity. It'll probably be all turned on anyways.

Sometimes these choices have to be made whether it's fully implemented or not. And that choice shouldn't be decided to just turn off by the players.

Huh. I guess that makes sense.

It's similair to "I want Expert Mode. But I don't want this specific enemy to deal more damage".

In a creative mode. It would be fine to go wild. In the default game. It wouldn't fit.

    ...Oh well...

There's some truth to that, as Melee has most of the thrown weapons in hardmode anyways.
Though, also my opinion, if you want range, you should use ranged.

Tbh I think thrower worked best when it was still ranged. It's mechanically almost the same as a bow and arrow, with the thrown projectile as the arrow, and.. well, you just don't need a bow. Splitting it away from ranger armors/accessories was an overall nerf. And, let's be honest, armor bonuses of "% chance to not consume ammo" are kinda lame.

Hope they add in more throwables throughout the game. Should be more manageable with grouping back to ranger without needed lots of new armors to go alongside with.
Whew, a forum update for once. It's been literal years since the last one :D

How come Ruth can't kill chickens...? Even if they're part of destiny?

    Now for something random.
Did the people who created article 13 have granted permission to use it? It's the same principle basically.

Guess I'll be seeing stuff on this for next few weeks or so. Wonder if it'll all blow over like all that stuff on Net Neutrality did? Knowing the Internet, it will.

Honestly it probably will. Half the things they are trying to do are not achievable without either region locking the internet or having literally everyone else in the world agree about there being a content claiming bot running the internet. The worst part of the article is it literally giving a middle finger to artists as any company can now easily claim anything is theirs on the internet.

    Melee Speed is fun.
So today I've learned that the DPS meter doesn't seem to register Critical Strikes. Interesting yet disappointed.
I just realized that my situation with Shovel Knight is a lot similar to your situation with Nageru and people confusing her with Link.
