I just want that television

Then I'll be happy

dont worry it should release before 2030

If it were delayed I wouldn't mind too much. The game is already pretty complete (and is a masterpiece) as is and a delay just means the update will be even better. I don't care about a release date

What month terraria 1.4.5 will release?

That's enough. Show some respect, your behaviour in the last hour has been unacceptable.
As Tunnel King said on your first thread (now merged) Updates are released when they are ready.

I assure you that the team is hard at work on getting the update released - It is their choice on when to release it. Be patient.

I'm serious, tone it down - Take a break if you have to.
The update will come out when it is ready, regardless of if you complain or not.

Hello, Kelp and the other mods and the members of TCF,

Even if you wrote that info to other users, I, even if I have never entered messages à la "When does the 🎺 update come out?!", have noticed reading this message, that I have also to watch myself to not spam the forums. If I had a barometer where 0 is "I am super patient" and 10 is "I spam here random things" I am on a 2 to 3. I have taken the entire May as a break.

How i helped myself was I played a playthrough on the seed where you spawn at the beach that is cyan. Thankfully I played on the laptop version, so I could now continue with TML. Also I rediscovered reading and writing stories. Now due to the many other activities I hope the level of "urge to spam" goes down.

I read on the internet to set oneself milestones to increase one's patience, in this case it is waiting for the State of the Game every last Thursday of the month. These shorter timespans are shorter and what more important is that they are definite, which breaks the waiting time down.

I am eager to know what else people do here to keep the patience so they do not spam here "when does the update come???", in order to reduce the stress for developers and for the rest of the forums. I have decided to write that in public since it is not a rules question and because I wanted to do a contribution to destress the mods and devs.

I wish you a nice day

Nobody knows, the update will release when the developers are finished

Its early hours for me still but I have to admit that I don't really understand what you're asking here and why you replied to me for it. I don't mind at all, just a little confused. That message was more of a verbal warning to calm down and post more sensibly, not "take a break from terraria". When you're all worked up, 20 minutes away from the PC can do wonders.

In that regard, I'm glad that it was taken to heart. The thread has had much healthier ramblings since.

If you're asking what other people do to keep themselves patient while waiting for the update you didn't really need to reply to my post for that, but I'll answer anyway. Terraria is just one part of my life, which I do hold very dearly. I met a majority of my online friends and made some great connections through Terraria.

I take breaks from Terraria often, and I haven't played it for a while if I'm honest - But I'll certainly boot it up if some friends ever want to play or I get the urge. If I played it every day in my personal time I would probably burn out no matter how great of a game it is

So simply put, I'm occupied enough throughout the months to not really feel the ticks of impatience. I'll probably get a little excited when its just about to come out but waiting really isn't an issue for me at all.

Members are of course free to ask "When is the update coming out?" But I do have to ask that they don't make a thread for it every time and remain respectful and mature about it. The best place to ask is probably on the "State of the Game" threads as that's where all the latest information is, though you'll be met with much the same reply - It will be out when it is ready.

Neither us nor the devs want to give promises that aren't certain. Things happen, a horde of new bugs appear when adding something new or maybe someone has to take time off for a little while because of IRL stuff - Everything and anything can delay a set release date which is why we choose to remain vague and leave it very open. The developers are human ( a lot of people seem to forget this) and do need to eat, sleep and attend to things such as personal fitness, family responsibilities etc. They don't work 24/7.
"Why not just give a late release date, like December?" The devs don't want to give a late release date either. Imagine having it ready for May but having to wait until December to release it, releasing it early would be unprofessional and potentialy consequential - people would be expecting it later, or accuse them of doing some sketchy PR tactics. They'll get the update out to everyone when its ready, as soon as they can.

The development team likely know internally "when" then update is currently scheduled to come out, but they are never going to make an announcement on that until it is absolutely certain, ie, the update is practically finished and fully tested. Nobody likes having to inform their community that the update promised on x date is going to be delayed. I've even seen developers cry over it (Yoshida from Final Fantasy XIV).

(No quote to not send you another notification) The reply was due to that I wanted to quote the warning as despite not posting anything related to that warning, I nontheless felt spoken to by the warning, which I explained in the reply. The quote was to keep the context.

What do you think 1.4.5 will be called? My guess is the "Bolgy Wolgy Update" because they're cramming so much stuff into it that it's bulging at the seams!

They apparently have a name planned, but can't share it. So I want everyone to guess what they think it will be called!
