Question: do speed-boosting items affect mount speed?

Items like the various boots, the anklet of wind, aglet, balloons, do they affect the jump height and movement speed of mounts? what about carts?

As far as I know, no, but the Bundle of Balloons and related double-jump items will give additional jumps to the Unicorn Mount. If you're flying vertically at a high speed it will maintain that speed for some time in a UFO or Mining Unit, and if you're dashing while going into a mount, they go to their maximum speed instantly.
