The worm eventually collapses and falls right outside of the trench, blocking the view. Calvilry and dragoons riding on atlions ride toward the city now that the minefield has been cleared. Mages but up a Barrier in front of the cavilry.

Everyone in the first trench armed with other weapons fall back to the second trench.

The attackers shoot there blunderbusses and dragons (The weapon, not the creature) and shoot fireballs.
