Everyone in the first trench that are armed with rifles affix bayonets to their rifles and climb out of the trench and over the worm, then charge towards the attackers.
Everyone in the first trench armed with other weapons fall back to the second trench.

Madoc calls for backup.
 
(They have very little tech as since magic exists, there isn't as much need to improve technology)
The attackers shoot there blunderbusses and dragons (The weapon, not the creature) and shoot fireballs.
