I should probably start running that RP I was working on (been pretty much done for the past couple weeks now)
Most of the things necessary to begin are done, and I have a basic plot set up for when it does start.
I, uhh, may have done a moderate amount of over-writing and as a result have over 12 pages of text that's solely for the first page. Expect a lot of spoiler tags.
Also, how do we feel about different races with different combat advantages? They're not major bonuses, more of a light suggestion. (in all honesty I might not have thought that part out too well)

If machines are a race, yes.

If not, still yes, but with less enthusiasm.

If machines are a race, yes.

If not, still yes, but with less enthusiasm.

If you make kobolds, dragons, or other scaled creatures a race you’ll get like 4 people to instantly appear

Machines (or Automatons, as I've called them) are a race (if you can call it that). I can definitely add a part-dragon race if that interests people.

I'm not sure demons really fit with the world I'm trying to establish. Sorry about that. I'm open to suggestions for other races once the RP is actually out.

What's a Half-Phantom?

As per the description:
Half human beings that are eternally haunted by a “phantom half”, a separate semi-tangible body that holds great magical power but low physical strength. It can take many forms, often mimicking a human body. They are neither truly dead nor truly alive. (How they came to be this way is up to you)

I'm pretty cool with all of these races, although I have no idea what a satori is.

Mind reading monsters from Japanese folklore, which usually take the form of a monkey. I've adapted them into a humanoid race with great perception and awareness as well as high intelligence. They cannot truly read minds without powerful magic (because that'd be stupidly overpowered).

Lately, I've heard several people say that RPs tend to be too action-packed and combat-focused,
and now that I think about it, my RP fits that description more than other RPs do.
Does anyone have any tips for how to increase the amount of non-combat activities in a RP?
