Dude, smile. I'm not mad at you. That's why I used the parent trope. This is the exact same situation.

If Pipeworks had apologized like you did, a lot less people would be pissed.

On a lighter note how's everyone's day (or night, depends on your timezone) going?
 
This is what happened, Pipeworks submitted the update late. Ps4 reported several issues, Pipeworks then pulled 1.3 out of Certification due to bugs. Microsoft failed at the marketing or went through with updating the stores pictures anyways, even without an update... (Creating boosted sales through the Microsoft store anyways)
So technically it's Microsoft's fault for the store being updated, not Pipeworks/505

So the hick up was within Microsoft's departments failure to communicate, or lost or forgotten. The Holliday's where a busy time.

I was the opposite. I started with a new character and a new world by choice. I guess I wanted to experience all the new stuff at the right time. It felt wrong to start with my legacy character, having console end game equipment. What use is the metal detector if you already have everything you could ever need? Spending a bit of time getting one makes looking for things such as life fruit or hard mode metals a little less haphazard.

The way I see it, we waited this long for the update, why not get the most out of it.

How did you get a metal detector? I still have yet to find a lost girl. Also are you experiencing the same issues as the other player, disappearing item bugs, etc with a fresh character and world?

I think we all would have loved just to have the option to start a new world in the meantime, because that was my plan too, untill i got back up to endgame then id just have a good time finding the new stuff , i plan on bringing all blocks over but thats just for building, nothing to give me a real edge, i recently got the flairon and it just rips through bosses so i get what you mean by it wouldnt feel right, and doesnt a new world have to be started for anything from 1.3 to appear anyway? I know atleast a few key things wont spawn on current worlds so it was just foolish to delay for so long. Would be nice to even be able to start new.

There's no need to be aggressive, as well as to brag in the gaming platform wars. What he meant was if you wanted to experience everything 1.3 has to offer, you will have to start up a new world

This is precisely why I want my legacy map to transfer properly because of my farms and the solid year I've been prepping for 1.3 I have an AFK farm that I set and when I go to bed I'll wake up to 7+ lost girls standing there from a hoik system I designed. And I throw in some dart traps and I'll get even more. I totally am all about pipeworks getting this right. I WAS really crabby about the 7 months of delay, but after concidering all that I prepared for, I would be 100 times more irate if my 2 year old map deleted. MUST HAVE AN INVITE ONLY OPTION THOUGH, DEVS!!!!!
 
What is it with people on this thread acting so hostile. I understand that it is frustrating seeing the update (or lack of it) being unplayable because of glitches, but that is no excuse for insulting and/or threatening people. Can we all just calm down, this thread is starting to look like a YouTube comment section on global warming. Thanks!
 
It has been a long wait for the update but ate least when the update release we will have a smoother launch then are frowning face will be filled with happiness and joy:guidehappy:
