Terraria Bad Ideas

Anyone else think this would actually be pretty cool? No? Anyone? Just me? Maybe my dad? Okay.

Well, it is in keeping with the idea of the thread - it's not just stupid ideas, but also cool ideas that wouldn't really work with the nature of the game - I think that sums up that idea pretty well.
 
  • Whenever you kill an enemy, 2 enemies of the same type spawn within a 30 block radius until you or your computer dies.
  • Bosses will spawn in pairs, whenever the boss with highest health damages you, it will heal the boss with lowest health.
  • Judgment Day: An invissible undetectable pressure plate somewhere in your world, when stepped on it drops a nuke which will radiate your world, gives you radiation sickness debuff permanently which will cut your stats in half, mutate all enemies and buffs them 300-600% randomly.

  • Creative mode: World generation with no enemies and no ability to spawn any enemy, just for building (actually an awesome idea IMO :passionate:)
 
  • cell phone now allows you to text players in other worlds, but costs 30 gold per text
  • mining revamp:
    - players must click and drag the cursor in an arc towards and then away from the block they intend to mine repeatedly. each swing counts as one click.
    - smart cursor removed. dumb cursor added, but does not know how to mine.
  • goblin summoners now use their voodoo dolls on the player, causing them to be controlled by enemy ai for up to twenty seconds.
  • worlds are now circular. traveling past the left boundary will put the player at the right boundary.
  • portal gun now allows players to travel to the moon by shooting directly up at nighttime. the moon has no signs of intelligent life and lacks an atmosphere, much like my love life.
  • NPC added: the boy who cried wolf
    - this NPC will occasionally announce a fake invasion, just to see if the player shows up.
    - if the player fails to show up, the announced invasion will occur with no additional warning.
  • all currency is replaced with USD. USD can be purchased from the ingame store at a 1:1 ratio with actual USD.
  • sending a chat message while underground now doubles the spawn rate of bats.
  • in-game music is replaced by a mariachi band that follows the player around. this cannot be disabled.
  • alternate hallow biome added: the marshmallow.
    - it is literally just a marshmallow.
    - but it is delicious.
  • vanity now gives additional stats depending on which set is used.
  • when the moon lord is defeated, the world and character are destroyed, and the player receives a final score.
  • auto-play mode added.
    - selecting this mode makes the game play itself.
  1. bulleted lists now removed.
 
Huge world size: 2x as big as Large, at least 5 corruptions/crimsons
Super Expert mode: hardmode enemies now have a 5% chance of spawning anywhere (even turtles!)
and enemies have triple stats

Anti-piracy feature: 1 hour of singleplayer, no multiplayer
minigames
Cell phone upgrade: Nokia phone. You can now excape the Terraria world. (like in the Matrix) oh, and Nokia 420 never breaks. Remember that for life.
Classes with stats
Wall of flesh drops flesh blocks (and rotten terrarians fall from the ceiling)
Super Meat Boy difficulty: 1 hit = death, but fast and wall jump.
yup, that all is going to happen

oh, and microtransactions.
 
Trying to cheese the moon lord with tactics such as using the nurse to heal, using more than 3 heart statues and taking weak damage to prevent moon lord damage, will turn your character into a literal cheese statue. You can't do anything in this state except to exit the game. You can still select this character in the character selection screen, but you will be instantly brought to the world you were on as a cheese statue. You can break the statue as another character, this will cause all of their items to drop as cheese versions of the items, which are useless. The character will then be deleted.
 
  • Queen Bee and other bee enemies have their defences reduced very greatly, making even a Copper Shortsword effective against them, Bees aren't that strong!
  • Using Solar Eruption and Daybreak can destroy enemies near instantaneously, but unless your wearing a full Solar Flare armor, you will also be damaged heavily for 300~ damage, and even then, the heat of the Solar Flare armor will constantly drain your HP, and any obsidian equipment will not save you, fighting with the power of the sun can cost you.
  • The Nebula Arcanum will boggle your mind so greatly with the amount of information it holds, you will always be confused , if you keep it out for 2 minutes, you will gain the Blackout debuff until you die.
  • Vortex Beater now causes a powerful kickback on each shot, and will damage you greatly as well unless you have a helmet of any kind, but the helmet will be broken in one hit ( Two for Vortex ).
  • When wearing a full Stardust Armor, the Stardust Guardian has a random chance in every millisecond of play that it will turn angry and choke-slam you, and starts fighting you as a very powerful mini-boss.
  • You now can't break down the Celestial Pillar's barrier, instead, you have to beat them in an order the game tells you through text in order to advance to the others pillars.
  • The entire underground layers is now a Spider nest, all of the underground layer, including UG jungle, crimson/corruption, hallowed, antlion den, and the underworld now houses the most terrifying and human-sized or greater of all arachnids, and you will be constantly have the Horrified debuff with the presence of any in the underworld, the wall of flesh is now a giant, fleshy spider that behaves just like the Wall of Flesh, except your controls freeze up the moment it gets on screen.
  • Pinky is now the only slime variation, and biome-slimes are now just like pinky, with the buffs of the biome-slime, and just as rare.
  • In order to defeat the Golem, the player must now challenge it in a duel of Jump the Rope, if you win, the Golem is defeated, but if you lose, you can't teleport back, and instead you have to walk the walk of shame back to your house.
  • There's a small chance that instead of fighting the lunatic cultist and going through the Celestial Pillars, you will instead spot the Lunatic Cultist and Moon Lord playing chess, The Lunatic Cultist promptly wins, causing the Moon Lord to instantly kill the Lunatic Cultist and releases his rage on you, if you leave early, the Moon Lord will instead vaporize the entire world, and you will never be able to fight the Moon Lord unless you have the Lunatic Cultist apologize to the Moon Lord.

The best Early Hardmode weapons have been removed.

Yvori's List of Terrible Ideas (in Terraria):
-Enemies and bosses no longer drop items or money. Where would they store them, anyway?
-Yrimir Mode: Enemies insta-kill, including bosses, and all move at 2x speed. All modifiers and set bonuses removed from the game. Flight time and jump height halved. Fall damage insta-kills.
-Cave-ins occur randomly if you mine while not placing wooden beams as supports.
-Using a fishing pole against the Moon Lord will now distract it and its True Eyes of Cthulu, interrupting their attacks and ending Moon Bite.
-The Nymph can now move in to your city. She will follow you around and constantly send chat messages at you along the lines of "Notice me senpai!"
-You must now get to the final wave of any event in order to get any item drops from enemies in said event.
-Upon entering Hardmode in Expert Mode, the Inception Horn plays. Repeatedly. For five minutes. Even if the game is muted. Or tabbed out.
-Excalibur and True Excalibur will repeatedly call you "fool" and tell you their story before bursting into song.
-Pirate Invasions will now have a 33% chance of occuring daily after the first Demon Altar is smashed after entering Hardmode.
-The Wall of Flesh is now drawn with hyperrealistic graphics.
-The Twins are now siamese.
-The Moon Lord now spawns during the Lunar Event.
-The Magic Mirror will no longer bring you home if you are not deemed fairest of them all.
-Every texture in the game is now replaced with the Twilight Dye texture.
-Party Girl now sells mini-nukes for use with the Minishark.
-Meteors will now aim for your town.
-Rangers now have an equivalent to the Mana Sickness debuff: They have to reload after every n bullets or arrows.
-Mana consumption doubled. Mana sickness debuff is now twice as strong.
-Worm-type enemies now destroy blocks they go through.
-Items now have a despawn timer.
-Reforging now has a chance to break your item.
-The Tax Collecter now collects taxes from you.
-Obsidian set bonus: Enemies flee because you look awesome.
-Armor now slows your movement speed.
-Bundle of Balloons now floats you up until you reach space and suffocate.
-Space now suffocates you.
-Enemies can now break wires.
-Enemies can now destroy doors like Goblins.
-Microtransactions added for gold and exclusive weapons!
-Developer armor now makes you immortal.
-Every weapon now destroys blocks on contact.
-Waterbolt no longer bounces or pierces.
-Magic Missile is now a literal missile.
-Item drop rates from Skeletron decreased.
-Dungeon Guardian now has a 0.001% chance to drop the Bone Key.
-New Ocean variant: Lava ocean.
-New Hallowed variant: Psychadelland. Everything flashes like rainbow bricks, but out of sync with eachother.
-New Summoning item: Staff of Everscamp.
-All bosses now become enraged if fought on the surface.
-Duke Fishron speed increased threefold.
-Rod of Discord now has a chance to randomly teleport you inside blocks, suffocating you, or a random place on the map.
-The Goblin Army can now only be summoned via the Battle Standard.
-Goblin Scout spawnrate reduced by 75%.
-If the Guide and Moon Lord collide, the game crashes.
-The Truffle will now become hyperactive if placed in a location that is not blue.
-Shroomite gear will now release spores and turn you into a clicker.
-Gravity Globe now changes gravity for everything except you.
-All blocks are now affected by gravity.
-Removed vanity slots and dyes.
-Removed hermes boots and variants. Removed rocket boots.
-Lucky Horseshoe becomes Unlucky Horseshoe if Gravitation Potion or Gravity Globe is used.
-Life cap lowered to 200.
-Debuffs are now permanent unless healed by the Nurse.
