Terraria State of the Game - August 2024

Terraria 1.4.5, release date October 2031 as the soonest possible time. XD
No guys, seriously, I understand it takes time, but pls stop feature creep, and polish what is in already, we want to see it in this decade. :D
 
The lightning is really cool!

It would be very appreciated if an option to turn the visual flashing off were added for photosensitivity reasons. Probably add flash option to other things too such as our resident squid lad has a bright flash intro.

i will never understand people who say "stop adding content".

especially since these same people are addicted to the game and clearly don't have anything else to play, going by their impatience.

going by what they've said in the past, for this to become 1.5, it would require a lot more than what they've added, such as new major mechanics and bosses.

so far, while they have added a lot, it's all relatively minor stuff, i think.

So apparently, wanting an update to one of your favorite games to come sooner means that you do literally nothing else

I wasn't being serious, I was just kidding about the absolutely crazy amount of content in this update

have you seen some of the people on here?

you'd think their very lives depend on the update coming out in the next few weeks.

i get being excited, but literally telling them to stop adding content and rush the update out ASAP?

if they wanna take longer to add in even more content, i'm certainly not gonna complain.

terraria is one of my favorite games as well, but i quite literally have HUNDREDS of games in my backlog.

i honestly wish i could freeze time and clear out the backlog a bit... feels like every time i finish a game, a dozen more have come out that i want. %:sigh:

You tell me, buddy. All of a sudden during the PS3 era, the amount of games I want to play went through the roof. It was just two years ago when I’ve realized “Man, I gotta start getting more selective “. Not only the amount of games rose, but I have less time due to my work and responsibilities. I still have dozens of games I haven’t even touched :dryadcry:

it's even worse when entire collections of games are released.

which seems to happen at an alarming rate. :dryadconfused:

i mean... i guess it's a good problem to have?

though it sure doesn't feel like it when you don't have the time, patience, and focus needed to get through them.

OCD and ADHD really don't help the problem.
