Izzabelle
Lunatic Cultist
"Light has returned to the world. Unfortunately the once nurturing and benevolent forces mean not to be imprisoned again. Their agents march to war and their borders grow. They are the only ones that they trust now, and you are in their way..."
Welcome to The Glade! The Glade is an alternate Hallow biome that focuses on nature and nature themes. It can be considered a direct counterpart to The Infestation, but is not being suggested as part of a pair. Both are stand alone suggestions. Also, if you're looking through for hints pertaining to the next suggestion -- there aren't as many in The Glade because 1. we're starting to wind down to the final suggestions and 2. the Izzabelle's Alternates thread exists now. Keep an eye out for those pop-culture references though and be sure to comment about what you like (or dislike) most about the suggestion.- June 16th, 2016

This is a suggestion. And as such does not assume anything definitively. This means...
Balance is a non-issue; the numbers are provided to elicit an idea of what values an object could have. If the not-set-in-stone-imaginary numbers upset you, you're welcome to suggest other numbers, but they have no bearing on the suggestion changed or not.
Sprites are a non-issue; sprites have been provided, like balance, to help imagine the suggestion as a concept. In no way are any of the sprites final. Just like the numbers, they too are not-set-in-stone-imaginary things. This means that recolored, spliced, and unique sprites have no ultimate bearing on the suggestion. If any particular sprite upsets you, you are welcome to provide one of your own to remedy the not-actually-an-issue so that I may reject it.
This is an alternate. This means that The Glade can spawn in a world instead of The Hallow. It does not replace The Hallow. As an alternate, The Glade additionally does not mirror the values or gameplay of The Hallow in a 1:1 ratio. It is it's own biome, not a recolor or reskin. The Glade is also NOT an expansion. There is no additional content. Content included in The Glade is a counterpart or replacement of existing content given to The Hallow.
Lastly; as an alternate (and not an expansion or replacement), TheGlade does not assume to redefine class balance. I'm sorry if your favorite class isn't represented well in the suggestion. If The Hallow represented all classes equally, so too would The Glade .

Hardmode Enemies

Their initial purpose was to see that the forest thrived and flourished. But since their release, they now scout and attack potential threats to The Glade.
Their attacks can inflict Confusion. When killed, Sylph will explode -- healing all enemies in the surrounding area for 150 health.
Treants were once rare providers of wisdom to wayward souls before their entrapment. Now released, these ancient denizens march to destroy any threat to the nature that bred them.
Treants are extremely tough and extremely slow combatants.
Mandragora are a fairly new addition to The Glade's arsenal. The Mandragora are grown from the corpses of The Glade's enemies. As the forest grows, more Mandragora are seen.
Mandragora are the opposite of Treants, they are extremely fast and attack quickly.
Myth has it that in dire times, slumbering humanoids will awaken to defend the forest. Since The Glade's release, more and more stories are pouring in of hulking beasts attacking in the dead of night. But no one's been able to prove the existence of these creatures just yet.
Sasquatch are extremely rare enemies that only spawn on the surface during full moons or in the desert at night. They are very quick and very strong.
Fungus has always been a parasite of the forest. Once the forest was imprisoned, colonies of Fungus were allowed to thrive and grow. Now the forest marches to war; and as the roots of conquest spread, so too does the Fungus.
Fungus can inflict Venom with their basic attacks.
The heralds of the new war, the Satyr has given up it's carefree life to see that the forest is never imprisoned again. They are mischievous spellcasters who know how to strengthen the fury of their kin.
Satyrs project an aura that inflicts Silence on players within range. They tend to avoid the player while they buff other enemies. Enemies buffed by the Satyr benefit from increased attack and movement speeds.
The Faun are the purest representation of nature's fury, and The Glade's resolve to never be imprisoned again. They have traded a life of tending to flowers and trees for a mission as nature's army.
Faun act like Hoplites throwing javelins at the player, only they are faster and stronger. Their attacks may inflict Venom or Bleeding on the player.
These Bandits are a clever adaptation of common thief. They wear disguises to avoid the forest's wrath and prey upon foolish explorers.
The Bandit has a range of behaviors. Firstly, when a Bandit is spawned, they will appear as a monster statue, heart crystal, or treasure chest. When the player attempts to interact with the object, the bandit is revealed. Bandits throw rocks at the player, then teleport to a new location. After 3 teleports the Bandit will vanish completely.
Attacks made by the Bandit will cause a player to drop their money and suffer from Silenced, Blackout, and Confusion all at once.
Nature's fury has twisted it's will. The Glade Mimics are a despairing sign that the forest will spawn the most violent creatures it can to maintain it's freedom.
Glade Mimics behave like all other biome-specific Mimics.
Glade Mimic loot will be covered in another section of this suggestion.

Enchanted Bullets split into 5 smaller bullets when they impact an enemy or surface. The smaller bullets will ricochet 3 times dealing 2 DMG each.
Enchanted Darts inflict Slow on enemies they hit.
Entranced Arrows can cause Confusion and occasionally cause a flurry of leaves to explode from the impact point, causing damage to enemies that pass through the cloud of leaves.
The Leaflet summons a circle of four leaves that orbit the player for a short time and then launch at where the spell was cast. Each leaf does individual damage at any point during the cast.
When a player casts the Lullaby, a large field slowly expands from the player inflicting damage, Slow, and strong knockback.
The Rider's Sword increases mana regeneration when attacking opponents. Killing an opponent has a very small chance to make many mana stars explode from the kill. It's damage is considered magic damage.
Natural Order summons a leaf storm to engulf the target area. Enemies killed by Natural Order increase health regeneration.
