but basically death mode + defiled rune would give me the most accurate mechanics for later animation project
because let's be serious it'd be ridiculous for enemies to not crit in an animated series
and the world that series will take place in is on death mode made worse

Also the worst part won't even be melee death mode defiled rune on an old version of the mod
it'll be the fact I'll have to do all the voice acting myself, other than for the fakemon which will either use stock audio from wherever, or be voiced by my obnoxiously loud cat, or by one of the birds that lives in the area
