Standalone [1.4.0.5] Terraria Leveled RPG mod

It appears that Terraria Tweaker still works with this program.

Great work, btw.

Small update. Check the first post for download and changes.

Alright guys, I had a conversation about a small new feature for people who have a death wish. These people with this death wish will be rewarded if you succeed.
Since I already had implemented a feature to actually reduce EXP gain to 0%. Me and Nobodys_me and the chat came up with this idea after I brought up an idea to reward players for playing through a Level 1 run.
Play through Expert/Critical at level 1 and defeat Moon Lord and receive a special ability which allows vanity slots to grant stats. In theory, this should actually make you more powerful than a level 100 in terms of raw damage.

level 1 + Expert or Critical mode and defeat moonlord?... what where you guys smoking cause it must be pretty dam good! cause i cant even fathom how this is even POSSIBLE!

Lol. Well, nobodys is going to attempt it after the holidays. So we'll see how (im)possible it is.

Ok i ran into a bit of a problem here... ever since the mini update you did.. it Seems the Terraria Leveled Server Does not Start on my server computer..nor the Terraria Leveled.exe....it runs on 1 computer and not on the other all of a sudden?

Update : Ok i fixed the issue technically the problem was on my end that was stoping it from running...and its been corrected

Take note of this, If Terraria Leveled or The Server do not run put them on The Exclusion list of Your Anti Virus programs or Firewalls.

Level 1 moon lord expert/critical challenge... Mother of god...

Yeah that will be fun.
I see a lot of "RIP-ing" happening :D but hey! No Rist - No Fun!

Hmm, I actually don't think its feasibly possible, the level 1 challenge expert mode... Even with cheating in the best gear and all buffs, 1 shot from anything from the Celestial Invasion or Moonlord himself is an instant kill... Even in god mode, 1 shot through god mode.

I think with 2 people it might be possible since you could trade off when one dies to keep him spawned, but even then it would be insane.

So... me and a friend seem to keep coming across an issue at random points while using the tshock plugin for the server...

I'm unsure if this is an issue clientside, serverside, or with tshock altogether. This occured the day after I started using the tshock plugins and it happens at any random point after having killed an enemy. Rather, its like I have a percent chance to proc this effect, and as a result anything I kill afterwards doesnt give me exp nor does it drop any items or play a death sound effect.

World is a Large Crimson Expert Mode world.

We've also came across the issue in which the abilities dont show if we created a new character. We would reach lvl 5, but scan wouldnt show up. They just popped up randomly after having randomly scrolled when hovering over where the abilities would be.

That aside, I'm REALLY satisfied with the gameplay altogether. The kingdom hearts vibes it gives me is just... awesome. Thank you for creating such a great mod!

he does know about that one (only the ores with a explosive right?)
Those, but also the little caverns full of gems. They were kinda disappointing, but if they did give EXP it would be broken AF in terms of game balance.

Anyway, I'm having a great deal of fun playing as an expert-mode, full-spec Magic class character. His name is Neonbeard, because the randomiser gave him a neon beard, and he's a bit eccentric, but he's very good at what he does(that being magic). I like how playing a full spec class doesn't just limit your options in terms of weapons, but also opens up new options by allowing weapons that aren't really viable in Vanilla to be made viable by virtue of the stat bonuses. I fully plan to play through twice more as a melee and then a ranged build, something I never really did in Vanilla.

I'm going to need to look in to this. This might be caused by the feature I added for downing ML at Lv1.
Try using version 10 instead and see if your issue gets fixed.
Though, I'm taking a break from this for a while, not only is it christmas time, I also finally just finished through Undertale. So I'm a little burned out on using my head lol. I haven't been able to sleep for the past 3 days as well, so I have a pretty bad headache.

I didnt mention that I was using Version 10 Downloads, my apologies. I have yet to see if the newest version possibly fixes the issue. Or makes it worse. I will update you tomorrow once my friend gets back online ( Different timezones, hes 7 hours ahead of me D: )

Now that I got a brand spanking new card, I'll be sure to play this now! (with a mix of BoI:Undertale edition, and warframe)

Oh it's tricky for queen bee, alright. Slash away for mini bees(bow with unholy arrows, range it out for charges, keeping crimson rain up at all times, and actually potion up (I never do, bad me!). Slime mount always works too for avoiding charges (with double jump, balloon w/horseshoe), for maximum vertical reach. Don't forget that you can summon it on the surface!

And unless you're concentrating on MAG, it's a DPS loss to hang onto that too long. Unless multiplayer, then it's good enough.

I didn't find this to be the case at all. Expert mode, I easily beat QB my first try and was able to do so reliably until I got the Bee Gun on my 5th kill. I was using a full-magic spec character, but the only thing that does is increase the damage of my gun - i could have fought for much longer before dying.

Is your arena set up properly? I use a decent sized open space, a bit smaller than my 1080p screen all up, and two rows of platforms - one at the bottom, and the other one higher by a bit less than the jump height of the slime mount.

I use a slime mount since it's a significant mobility advantage. It's base speed is faster than yours, but not as fast as the Herme's Boots, but it's still fast enough. It can jump higher than you, and this is important - the jumps upward speed and downward speed are way faster. Since the slime mount jumps up faster than you can, it's easy to dodge QBs charge attack. If she finishes one of her charges and you aren't at the same height as her, she'll take a second to readjust before charging you again. So by alternating between the bottom and top platforms with the slime mount to dodge her charges, you have a much larger time gap between charge attacks.

If you are using a magic build like me, the space gun is amazing. If you are using a ranged build, it might be worth a trip to the Underworld to get a Molten Bow and some Hellfire Arrows, or else use a Minishark. With a strength build, I have no idea, but you could try either using the Amazon, taking a trip to the Underworld for the Fiery Greatsword, or else switching to thrown weapons like the Fossil Armor with Bone Javelins, Molotov Cocktails, Spiky Balls and Grenades. If you aren't specialising at all, A: I think that's a big mistake, and B: any of the above should be viable, but they'll all be very hard.

Anyway, I'm exploring Hell on my world right now, and the Aqua Scepter is proving very effective against Firebats! Who knew?

i have myself on the surface cause fighting underground is a death wish....i use Crimson Armor Full set
and i'm currently Level 32 .....im Maining Magic so my best bet is the Space Gun. its around her last moments where i get rekt the most...her poison is also hindering my chances and those bees she casts sometimes she sets them off on me while ramming me all at once...this is where i start to fall flat...i fight on a flat surface on the top of the jungle

The only disadvantages to fighting underground are that you have to clear out an arena and that occasionally you have to deal with the underground mobs. That said, if you can make abeeminations and you dont want to fight underground, I see no advantage to it.

The BIGGEST thing, IMO, is that you are using the slime mount and the 2 platforms properly. If you aren't using the slime mount, ABSOLUTELY go get it. You can summon king slime with 100 gel, 1 ruby and 5 gold/platinum bars, and if you have a space gun you can kill King Slime easy. Just shield of Cthulhu dash underneath it when it jumps at you, and you'll do fine. It is super easy to dodge her charges even when she is at low health by using the technique I mentioned in my last post. Build a wood platform about 20 blocks above your flat ground. The moment she charges at you, jump up to that platform. When she charges you again, drop back down. Repeat until she stops charging at you. Of course, keep shooting in her general direction while this is going on.

When she's shooting stingers or baby bees at you, just keep running away until you get to the end of the platform, (mine's ~140 blocks long) and then turn around. You'll only get hit by 1 stinger at each end this way, and you can even avoid getting hit at all if you jump through the gap in the stingers when you turn around.

If the poison is wrecking your face, find a Bezoar and equip it for the fight. Problem Solved. Speaking of accessories, the other one you'll want is some sort of cloud in a bottle, be it cloud, blizzard, sandstorm or fart, with or without combined balloon or horseshoe, simply because it's extra mobility that you can use while on your mount. Beyond that and the bezoar, nothing's really essential, so take your usual accessories or whatever you have with good reforges.

So I just started a new play through with a few friends of mine, and we've stumbled upon an annoying bug.

Every time one of us levels up and aquire a new ability, the others get an error message. (I don't have a ss of it, but will post if I can get it)

Basically, if I get an ability, my friends get an error. If 1 of my friends gets an ability, the rest of us gets the error.

When we get the error, it slows down our client completely. We'll experience tremendous lag (not server lag, but lag in the client) -- we can get rid of it by pressing ESC or using task manager to open the error message then clicking "OK"

Try it for yourself, see if you get it.

Update on the level 1 moonlord BS: 2 people seems to work fine if one of them holds all the aggro, but moonlord abilities seem to kill the level 1 tremendously, it also appears that other mobs spawn while the moonlord fight is going on making it even harder to do.
