Sarah watches it reassemble itself, mesmerised...
Sarah, then, after a moment, just aims her railgun at it.
“…Can you speak.”

Mae just waits, seemingly for Sarah to do something with it.

Father Garundel crosses his arms and grunts, looking impatient.

Seraph just glances at Pop on his shoulder, still looking very awkward about.. everything, it seems.
Pol, unsure what to do, just tries giving Seraph a reassuring pat on their…head region.

Draucon, by coincidence, also crosses his arms, impatient as well.

And the illusion is nailed directly through the torso, it wavers and falls apart upon reaching Dark, dissipating into a sea of glitching and wavering Coral.

The burning within Dark slowly subsides, his vision returning to normal.

“{I really shouldn’t be surprised, but.. I guess I am.}”

“{Well done. At least now you hopefully won’t kill yourself trying to use Coral.}”

“{We can resume training later.. you’ve far from acclimated yourself to the strain Coral places on you, this is your biggest disadvantage with not being a machine.}”
Dark huffs, fatigued.
He floats down a bit to sit down by a tree, just breathing in and out to clear his mind.

“…Can you speak.”
It makes a tiny *ahem* gesture.

Lightning covers her ears during the incoherent screeching the robot was making.
"...Ow."

Sarah just stares, before deciding against shooting it up, getting up and slinging her railgun on her back.
“…Just follow us if you can understand me. We don’t have time for this.”
Sarah eyes Father Garundel.
“Let’s go.”
“You could just telekinetically lift it, right, Father Garundel?”

It grabs a hold of them, tugging. Less in an aggressive manner... and more in a desperate plea.

Sarah looks back down at them, taken a bit aback by the grab.
“…”
She tries shaking it off her leg.

Seraph dips his head awkwardly, making a beep.

"{.. Some work on your endurance seems to be in order too..}"

“You could just telekinetically lift it, right, Father Garundel?”
Garundel nods to Draucon, but then waits on lifting the thing as it latches onto Sarah, at which point he just sighs loudly, scowling now.

Mae looks as if she plans on leaving on her own soon, anxiously tapping her foot.

She tries shaking it off her leg.
It is holding on for dear life as it flails around, one arm letting go to fish around in some internal compartment.

Pol transitions into a wing hug.

"{.. Some work on your endurance seems to be in order too..}"
<…I suppose so.>
<…Are you mad at me?>

Sarah experimentally tries walking a bit, keeping a close eye on the bot, to see if it’ll hinder her movements too much.

Sarah experimentally tries walking a bit, keeping a close eye on the bot, to see if it’ll hinder her movements too much.
It is not very heavy, although it is trying its hardest to dig its feet into the dirt, barely even grazing the grass.

Finally, it holds out an old, rotting key. It's simple dot eyes are pleading.

Sarah tries gesturing for it to climb up her leg a bit.
“If you need something, just…ugh. Come with me, I guess.”
Sarah shakes her head in annoyance.

Sarah shakes her head in annoyance.
It frantically shakes its head, pointing at the tree with the key very energetically.

..A bit
too energetically, as the arm falls off.

Pol transitions into a wing hug.
Seraph somehow looks more embarrassed..

<…Are you mad at me?>
She offers no response for a while.

"{.. not you, no.}"

"Hhhrrrnngghh.."

Garundel groans in annoyance, somewhat quietly, but still audible.

Narrowing her eyes, she looks over to the tree, walking a bit closer to investigate it.

It... looks like a tree alright. Weirdly, trying to get too close simply doesn't work, like a solid wall of air. The bot waves its dismembered arm somewhere up, the key firmly held.

<…May I ask what’s up?>

Seraph somehow looks more embarrassed..
Pol sort of just rests her head on Seraph for a while in the wing hug.

Draucon huffs, also annoyed at the delay.

Sarah does notice the “air wall” after trying to get closer…

On noticing the bot though, she tries looking up and around for somewhere the key might fit into.

"{You'll be told when I can tell you, leave it at that.}"
Pol sort of just rests her head on Seraph for a while in the wing hug.
Seraph's entire suit of mechanical armor begins to get uncomfortably hot, almost steaming at this point.

<I’ll trust you on that then.>
Dark floats up, dusting himself off.

The bot shakes the key a lot, trying to make them take it.
Sarah looks back down at them, sighs, and then takes the key.

Pol takes a second to notice, before yelping a bit and flying off.
“Ow-“

Sarah looks back down at them, sighs, and then takes the key.
It makes presumably happy "boops".

Sarah then sees*, for lack of a better term, a chink in the armor, so to speak. A space where the barrier recedes, where something can be slotted in. It's high enough off the ground that the bot could never reach (aka like 3 feet up).

*(A fact, as if implanted into the mind.)
