WHAT WAS OLD IS MADE NEW AGAIN - REVISITING THE TERRARIA EXPERIENCE

Happy Monday, Terrarians and welcome to a fresh week on the road to Journey's End!

To kick off the week in style, we wanted to share one of the more impactful - but often unappreciated - aspects of Journey's End. On top of all of the shiny new content and features, the team has spent countless hours giving the entire game a thorough review across the spectrum of Balance and Aesthetics. The truth is that over time, as updates have released, some content felt "left behind", imbalanced, or it didn't feel quite "right" any more. So, we took on the arduous task of giving those things a makeover. Today's Journey's End feature article touches the surface of these efforts - read on to learn more...

Happy Friday Terrarians!

Remember a few State of the Game's ago when we mentioned that we were working on something pretty cool that would potentially change the way that people approach certain aspects of the game? Well, the time has come to give you a peek behind the curtain at Terraria HQ and let you in on some juicy details surrounding this new feature coming to Journey's End!

Building has always been a staple of the Terraria experience - but functionally-speaking, there has never been any real reward to making fun creations outside of the adoration of the community. Similarly, everyone builds their central base and sort of shoves everything there... sure, some folks build in other biomes, but only for fun. What if we told you that Journey's End is going to change all of this up, raising building up to being a core gameplay feature with its own rewards?

Full Steam Ahead! tModLoader to Launch as Free DLC for Terraria with Journey's End!

Greetings, Terrarians!

We are just shy of three weeks out from the highly-anticipated release of Terraria: Journey's End, and we know that as the anticipation builds, so will the excitement! Well, allow us to add more fuel to that fire with the official announcement that the long-standing "Terraria mod to make and play mods", tModLoader will be coming to Steam as a free DLC for Terraria alongside Journey's End!

Though fully-integrated official mod support is not something that is feasible within the Terraria codebase, tModLoader has served faithfully as that "bridge" between the main game and the amazing library of player-created mods that exists for Terraria. With this launch, modding has never been more visible or accessible for Terrarians - so, if you have not ever tried out modded Terraria, there is no time like the present!

Greetings Terrarians!

At long last, we have reached the day that once seemed impossible - Terraria on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will receive the 1.3.5 update today, bringing console Terraria up to parity with the live PC version of the game! Terraria 1.3.5 brings a handful of new furniture items, a couple of really cool developer armor sets, and the long-anticipated UI size slider. As usual, the team has tried to roll in a round of bug fixes into the update. So, without further ado, here is the Terraria 1.3.5 for Console changelog!

As for what is next? The console team is planning to look into a few quality of life features we have had in mind for a while, along with any further needed bugfixing from this or prior updates. So stay tuned for that!

Before anyone asks, no this does not mean that PC and Console can now crossplay - as most of you are aware, there are a ton of other hurdles beyond just "same content"...
