Release date for 1.3? and Lunar Event?

Hey guys,Loki just posted something really cool in the Re-Logic Game Developers Conference Blog post...

"It was quite the first day at GDC for the team! We thought we would take some time out from our day to send along a quick 1.3 greeting to you all.

Oh, and we will just leave you with one other little tidbit...
Our goal is to have Terraria 1.3 ready for release in June 2015"

what do you guys thing about this?

I don't know if it is lunar or what, definitely pretty cool though. Also its acting like its in the beach even though they in forest, maybe moon so close it makes it high tide? The tentacles on the creates make it look more like the cultist/Cthulhu thing. I don't know though, just some guesses.

Lunar event confirmed Cthulhu's alien invasion

Anyways, for enemies it looks like a small, crab-like creature that can fly, a taller, sapient alien warrior, alien worms (possibly cyber worms?), the sapient aliens in some sort of mech flying around, likely similar to the mining mech, Cthulhu space squids, and a giant space squid miniboss thing. Also new leaf block texture, an AMAZING background, and what looks like new Cosmic mage? armor and Black Hole Wings.

i noticed that too, but i compared it with the actual texture from 1.2.....but sadly i think itlooks diferent due the ligth efect..

It may be true, but it is wrong when I look at these and old one have different shading and more different colours.

I do love how people see tentacles and otherworldly esque silhouetes and immediately think "CTHULHU"

Remember, the Old One sleeps in the ocean. Not the star ocean, the regular ocean. I'd say the absolute best chance we have at "cthulhu" is just something similar, and even then I very much doubt it.

To me, the mobs look a bit like corruption mobs. Perhaps the corruption is related to the moon somehow?
