EDIT: This was my attempt at discovering a reference. Oddly enough, I'm not good at this.

The Viceroy & the Monarch are references to the viceroy and monarch butterflies, respectively. The reference (at least what I interpret it as) is the fact that in real life, Viceroy butterflies imitate Monarch butterflies for protection, because monarch butterflies are toxic, while viceroy butterflies are totally safe. Almost like looking exactly like a celebrity, and having people think you ARE the celebrity...Right? I'm going to die laughing if I'm wrong.

Introduction

Warning! This suggestion is kind of massive! It spans 3 posts!

The Infestation should have been posted AGES AGO. But the original sprites were lost when my last computer died. Very tragic, many tears, awful awful time. Everything you see (except for 1.3 related items) has been sprited TWICE. But I'm actually kind of glad I got to "redo" The Infestation because I think the 2nd time around produced much better results. Anyways...

The Infestation is a hive colony of parasites from origins unknown. It's inhabitants seek to infect, infest, spread, and consume. It's up to you, brave hero, to put an end to The Infestation before their number and appetite suffocate and strip the world.

Spoiler: Other Misc. Changes

Acid Burn is a new debuff exclusive to The Infestation. The player turns orange, loses defense for 2 seconds, takes damage over time (5-10 seconds), and can not regenerate health for the duration. The combination of negative effects makes enemies within The Infestation very deadly.

Weapon Imbue: Acid Burn is a new buff granted by Flask of Acid Burn. It will allow the player to inflict Acid Burn on enemies using melee weapons for 20 minutes.

Infested Water is the same as Unholy/Bloody Water -- sharing the same stats and function, spreading The Infestation over terrain.

I was just looking around on the internet, looking for the "Terraria Infestation" banner thing, and stumbled across this... http://terrariafanideas.wikia.com/wiki/The_Infestation It has the same name, color scheme, and style as yours, but all different enemies/items/bosses/etc, but was posted in July 2015. Did you release an earlier version of the Infestation somewhere or something?

Nope. But this seems to be disease based orange and green. Mine is parasite based orange and blue.
