What I mean is that's what makes it funny. If it was just another generic weapon I wouldn't have liked it as much.

Besides, the broken hero sword effectively gates the weapon so that power is acceptable.

There is nothing wrong with a lethal joke item. We have confetti bullets, cyborg dolphin miniguns, and swords that shoot cats. A true copper shortsword won't hurt.

Could it be a combination of a Terra Blade (or possibly Influx Waver), broken hero sword, and copper shortsword? Then it could be buffed and given a different place in the game, as many people may still use the Terra Blade instead when given the chance at the same point in the game.

I disagree completely. The recipe as is makes sense. Adding in another sword doesn't really.
