If you ask me, also add Luminite Bars and Solar Fragments and make it an endgame weapon.
I've gotten at least 5 broken hero swords in one Solar Eclipse run. They are rare, but that doesn't mean they should be overpowered, because people could easily set up a farm, or they could be lucky and get a bunch of broken hero swords
Also, now that there is a way to summon a solar eclipse, it's even easier to get broken hero swords, and mothron has a 25% chance of dropping a broken hero sword
Rarity isn't a good enough reason to make something powerful
I like the idea of having a Weapon that progresses/levels up itself.it should start as a normal shortsword stats, so people don't just make a new char for free swords. as you get boss kills, gains abilities like these, and gtes stronger. so you get rewarded for using the copper shortsword. stronger bosses needs for stronger abilities. each applies for a single kill, later kills give no effect.
example: 0 kills: copper shortsword
slime king: gives light
kill eoc: +damage, shoots projectiles
kill eow: acts as a spear, +size
kill skeletron: +damage, + attack speed, +crits
kill WOF (how???): can throw swords. if you have projectiles, each thrown sword that hits will spawn a projectile. +size
prime: +damage, homing projectiles
twins: second sword on other side of you too. +knockback
destroyer: gives you speed boost whenever you hit an enemy, +Damage
plantera: heals you on hit. melee (not projectiles) heal more. +crits
golem: +crits, gives you bonus defence while you attack with it
fishron: +damage, +size, gives you shadow dodge on hit, +crits, breaks armour
cultist: spawns floating spinning swords when you attack
pillars: each pillar gives one of: crit, damage, attack speed, size.
moon lord: you win the game. jk, doubles all stats, including other bonuses from kills.
so youd start with arguably the weakest weapon, and make it into a super-damage projectile-spewing lifestealing beast of a superweapon: the true copper shortsword.
The Shadowflame Knife can bounce off enemies though. It's a real mechanic. This is just way too precious. Not only that, but summoning this epic sword requires a broken hero sword, so it is just right for a person in hardmode. Though the feature that allows the sword to bounce off of enemies may seem unresonable, but its do funny, I even somehow placed the banner in my signature, no control over my body! HEAWLP! THS NEEDS A HAMMER OF APPROVAL!
But this bounces off of 5 enemies at a time, not mentioning the damage. The Shadowflame Knife can bounce off enemies though. It's a real mechanic.
I can consider that an upgrade. But maybe it's a lot of bounces, but at the same time a Magic Dagger can pierce multiple enemies - more than 5. And it does a lot of damage too.But this bounces off of 5 enemies at a time, not mentioning the damage.
But say enemies are in different places? You will have to use it multiple times before you can kill off a horde.I can consider that an upgrade. But maybe it's a lot of bounces, but at the same time a Magic Dagger can pierce multiple enemies - more than 5. And it does a lot of damage too.
Then Think of A New Crafting Recipe ?Its been a long time. And I still don't agree with this. A Broken Hero Sword is not worth using on something like this.
I won't because either way I don't support this, so I wouldn't waste my time thinking of a crafting recipe for a weapon I see as trivial. Then Think of A New Crafting Recipe ?
Or Leave it Alone Or let Someone Else Do It, No Support= FineI won't because either way I don't support this, so I wouldn't waste my time thinking of a crafting recipe for a weapon I see as trivial.
No support is fine. So why don't you leave me alone about my opinion.Or Leave it Alone Or let Someone Else Do It, No Support= Fine
uhm... Ok, Just Want To So ThoNo support is fine. So why don't you leave me alone about my opinion.
