Lava inlet pump, lava pipe, lava outlet pump, honey pipe, honey inlet pump, and honey outlet pump!

Also, why not this?

Nineteenth. Whip
Used as weapon.
Used to push/pull levers in high places.
Used to balance yourself like Tarzan. (Maybe a type of hook that works like the anti-gravity hook, but that keep you balancing at the same time).
It is an item, not a placeable. (Maybe a placeable would be good too, and work like Pitfall).
Maybe it could only attach to a pole, or a specific block. Maybe it can work like the Grappling Hook from Zelda Phantom Hourglass, (Grappling Hook) and the Whip from Zelda Spirit Tracks and Zelda Skyward Sword. (Whip)
He starts using it from 8:25.

So we can make a Pitfall-inspired map!

Living armor statue : made with 1*Armor statue, 10*each lunar fragment and 10*luminite ore. When activated, become a powerful minion with def and HP. When it die, become an inactive living armor, that need 50 crystal shard and 24 hours IG to become a living armor statue again

Yes, but it would be an item, not a placeable. (Maybe a placeable would be good too)
Maybe it could only attach to a pole, or a specific block. And we can use it to pull/push levers, to attack, and I will try to improve this idea even more. Maybe to work like the grappling hook from Zelda Phantom Hourglass, (grappling hook) and the Whip from Zelda Spirit Tracks and Zelda Skyward Sword. (whip)

How about circuit boards wallpaper? It could look good. It would have a larger patter so you would need to place several pieces to see the whole thing.

I've only two real suggestions in relation to wiring. Those being "wire bundles" and well... lasers.
-The wire bundles being used for more compact circuitry. As in, instead of having to have all the different types wiring all lined up next to each other, these would/could enable different colored wires to be built off a single strand. To clarify, image said wire bundles being built vertically, and each color wire being branched off of the main strand of the aforementioned bundle. This could help keep wiring systems more simple and organized contraptions. Though I myself have only scratched the mere surface of circuitry and am not entirely certain of how cluttered it could become. If cluttering of wires is a common issue, this could (hopefully) help alleviate this tribulation. As for crafting, I find it best if it were just crafted out of x amount of each wire, similar to how stained glass is made from one of each type of gemstone.

-Now onto the good stuff. When I refer to lasers, I mean place-able blocks that emit a single block tall/wide beam. I find it best to think of it as a higher tech dart trap. The laser itself would shoot outwards for say, 32 blocks before fading away. I imagine it would inflict damage to enemies (and players) but not inflict knock back. (because who ever heard of light knocking them away) Again like the dart trap, it could only be placed so that it would fire horizontally so the prevent "cheesing" of enemies that just walk into a vertical door way of light into a base. I don't believe it should inflict any debuff, just simple, relatively low damage but over a very high speed.
On the topic of crafting, it would be made of; 10 lenses, 6 black lenses, 4 of any of the same gem (so you can pick a pretty color), 2 titanium bars (yes its for Hardmode), any color 1 of wire,12 soul(s) of light, and one gold bar (circuit boards use gold, right?). This all being done at a heavy work bench. The lasers would be activated the same as any other object controllable by *switches. Oh, and the damage type being considered magic (if that matters for this).

*If activated by a pressure plate, it will auto fire until it is no longer activated while switches will ping a three round burst. I've also included a custom bit of pixel art (I guess) on what the block may look like in my mind.

Ichor and cursed shower : made with 100 Ichor/Cursed flame and 10 iron bar : inflict the debuff and few damages, work like a flamme trap, but downwards.

Magic piggy bank : sold for 100 platinum coin by the party girl, throw many platinum, gold, silver and copper coin in all directions that can be collected each time it is activated

Wire coil : when two wire coil with the same color are placed in the same world, clicking with enough wire in the inventory will create wire with the same between the clicked coil and the others.

I updated the Transferring Gun and now it has images to illustrate it.

Twentieth. Music Blocks
I want to make music... A lot of people already asked for it and I'm just reinforcing the request.
It would also be nice to choose instruments to play. Well, this idea or something like that. :)

I've also updated my original post.

Did you read the first message and the name of the topic?
To be far, the first message said it didn't have to do with wires. They can post other things. It's just we mostly post stuff that has to do with wire.

It's be pretty cool if dressers allowed characters to change their clothing style, like at character creation.

no , I dont care ! I suggest it!

Yes, it has to be things about mechanics itself (including wiring, physics, items/enemies/blocks with unique behavior and other creative things related to mechanics of the game that will help people build or do creative things with the new mechanics), so random stuff like bosses and npcs that has nothing to do with it should be avoided to make the post neat and help the devs to not get lost when reading through all the suggestions. I hope there will be more posts like this one to suggest a lot of other things, in different categories, as the game progresses. :)

I think there should be wireless transceivers. Eliminate the need for wire entirely. It would either be very difficult and convoluted to get the materials to craft them, or they would be very expensive.

Odd. I could have sworn he said other stuff where okay. This kind of thing came up before and someone pointed it out to me so I reread it just to be sure. That said I see the post has been edited several days later so he may have reworded it. Still he does say "Anything is fair game: new items, new switches, more wire colors, etc." so it might still count. That said I prefer it if most of the suggestions have things to do with wire or would just look good with them like Circuit Board Wallpaper.

I'd like to see a way to tell what colors of wires are occupying the same block. so for instance, if theres a block with yellow, red, and blue in it, you can hover over it with a new tool and it'll tell you what colors are there.
also, Wireless wiring. I'm pretty sure EVERYONE wants that, but please don't make it too over powered.
also, I saw the flourescent light beams idea, is very good idea. ;-)
I think it would be in the best interest of wiring to have one wrench that can change colors.
it would be amazing if we could have all the colors as the basic dyes have for wrench colors. (hoping this one isnt asking for too much)
a way to convert one signal to another. like red to green, or yellow to blue.

You should add a machine that auto craft blocks or auto buys items from npcs and use wire to turn it off or on
Sorry I have really bad ideas

But see, it is fair, it has something to do with wiring, even being only an aesthetic suggestion. Well, if he says that anything is fair game, maybe he was speaking about the theme, not only wiring stuff, as I said ("We have a handful of ideas and a general vision for where we would like to take things coming out of that - and that begins today with our announcing that Terraria 1.3.1 will be focused around upgrading the wiring & mechanics systems in Terraria!" - from the beginning of the post). I read the post several times too, to understand their point and see if my suggestions would fit the theme. But, well, let's stop discussing about that, Yorai will read everything and will be mad with us because we are leaving long messages that are not suggestions. Hahahaha

I can see how having 4 different colors of wire can get a little hard to spot when they overlap each other.
Not everyone wants wireless wiring and a number of people have argued against it. I personally don't care for it but a number of people have suggested it.
The light beams do seem to be a good idea and a lot of people have asked for it here, myself included.
A color changing wrench would help a lot. It would save me a lot of room in my hot bar.
It is to much to ask for more then 4 colors. The game engine will unfortunately only allow 4 of them.
I would love a Wire Hub to transfer the pulse as it would to a lot to reduce the need for more more wire colors.
