You mean like swinging on the whip? Cool! Also, why not this?
Nineteenth. Whip
Used as weapon.
Used to push/pull levers in high places.
Used to balance yourself like Tarzan. (Maybe a type of hook that works like the anti-gravity hook, but that keep you balancing at the same time)
I've also updated my original post.
So we can make a Pitfall-inspired map! Also, why not this?

Yes, but it would be an item, not a placeable. (Maybe a placeable would be good too)So we can make a Pitfall-inspired map!
no , I dont care ! I suggest it!Did you read the first message and the name of the topic?
To be far, the first message said it didn't have to do with wires. They can post other things. It's just we mostly post stuff that has to do with wire.Did you read the first message and the name of the topic?

Yes, it has to be things about mechanics itself (including wiring, physics, items/enemies/blocks with unique behavior and other creative things related to mechanics of the game that will help people build or do creative things with the new mechanics), so random stuff like bosses and npcs that has nothing to do with it should be avoided to make the post neat and help the devs to not get lost when reading through all the suggestions. I hope there will be more posts like this one to suggest a lot of other things, in different categories, as the game progresses. To be far, the first message said it didn't have to do with wires. But see, it is fair, it has something to do with wiring, even being only an aesthetic suggestion. Well, if he says that anything is fair game, maybe he was speaking about the theme, not only wiring stuff, as I said ("We have a handful of ideas and a general vision for where we would like to take things coming out of that - and that begins today with our announcing that Terraria 1.3.1 will be focused around upgrading the wiring & mechanics systems in Terraria!" - from the beginning of the post). I read the post several times too, to understand their point and see if my suggestions would fit the theme. But, well, let's stop discussing about that, Yorai will read everything and will be mad with us because we are leaving long messages that are not suggestions. HahahahaOdd. I could have sworn he said other stuff where okay. This kind of thing came up before and someone pointed it out to me so I reread it just to be sure. That said I see the post has been edited several days later so he may have reworded it. Still he does say "Anything is fair game: new items, new switches, more wire colors, etc." so it might still count. That said I prefer it if most of the suggestions have things to do with wire or would just look good with them like Circuit Board Wallpaper.
I can see how having 4 different colors of wire can get a little hard to spot when they overlap each other.I'd like to see a way to tell what colors of wires are occupying the same block. so for instance, if theres a block with yellow, red, and blue in it, you can hover over it with a new tool and it'll tell you what colors are there.
also, Wireless wiring. I'm pretty sure EVERYONE wants that, but please don't make it too over powered.
also, I saw the flourescent light beams idea, is very good idea. ;-)
I think it would be in the best interest of wiring to have one wrench that can change colors.
it would be amazing if we could have all the colors as the basic dyes have for wrench colors. (hoping this one isnt asking for too much)
a way to convert one signal to another. like red to green, or yellow to blue.
