I apologize for what I said earlier. After reading Loki's comment and thinking about it, I realized that the crash rates and generation times were about the same before and after the update. It's just that when I started using more small worlds due to tiny world deprecation all the issues that were always there (small worlds crashing pre-1.3) were more noticeable. I'm sure if making tiny worlds was an option it would take about as long as it did before the update, and when I play on tiny worlds crash rates are about the same. The reason why I always got tiny worlds even when small worlds were added was because of crashes. The novelty items that are there are likely only a small portion of the game code.
