The only thing that irked me was the armour. Although it might not really fit in with the theme of the biome, I think the armour in the world's evil should be useful to melee-based characters, as this fits best in the game's progression. There is already a pre-Hard Mode magic armour, and it takes a long time to go from ore armour to molten.
The rest of the suggestion looks awesome!

I think that the lightning staff could work somewhat similarly to the bolt staff of Magicite, the gun be like a weaker CAR but with 3 bullets and a very slow speed, and the scythe melee weapon be a boomerang that ricochets and pierces up to 3 times, but wiht limited range of a wooden boomerang, kinda like a pally hammer.
